This online manual provides a comprehensive guide to the application and
use of the University of Dayton identity. Our new identity program
provides a consistent visual image for the University of Dayton that
allows us to communicate to diverse audiences a clear and coherent
message about the quality of our institution.
Effective Aug. 25, 1999, all divisions of the University will use the new
logo, which replaces the chapel symbol developed in 1981. The Dayton
Flyers and the University of Dayton Research Institute will continue to
use their own wordmarks, but use the new University logo in any
applications where they have employed the chapel symbol.
After sesquicentennial celebrations end in May 2001, the dates beneath
the logo will be permanently dropped, and the consistency of the look
will be maintained. Dated logo materials should not be used after May 31, 2001.
